In just a few short weeks, the coronavirus pandemic has transformed society. Stores are shutting down. People are staying inside. Events have been cancelled for the foreseeable future.
For those planning events, and planning the use of inflatables, these changes can be alarming and disheartening. What are you supposed to do about the inflatables rentals you have already booked? Will you lose the money you paid already?
Maybe even more disheartening is the question: Should we even plan for events in the future? With uncertainty about how long the pandemic is going to go on, and how long we will need to wait for life to return to normal, it can feel pretty pointless to plan anything. You don’t want to have to cancel, maybe even last minute, and lose money or pay cancellation fees.
That is why, in this time of the coronavirus, we here at Big Bounce are implementing new policies and procedures. These efforts are designed to help you use inflatables with the confidence that they are clean and safe, or move your event to another date without losing money. Perhaps most importantly, we are committed to giving you hope: Hope that even during this time of uncertainty the days of gatherings, events, fun and connection are coming again.
Cleanliness has always been central to the care of our equipment. Every time an inflatable comes back to our warehouse, it undergoes a rigorous cleaning to ensure that it is ready for its next use.
However, in this time of coronavirus, we are taking extra steps to keep our equipment clean and to enforce sanitary practices during events. For example, in addition to the thorough cleaning all of our equipment receives in the warehouse, we are adding the following cleaning procedures:
- Sanitizing Before Event
We are currently sanitizing every piece of equipment that is on site before an event begins. That means that you can have complete confidence that the equipment is thoroughly clean and safe to use for your event.
- Sanitizing After Event
In addition to sanitizing every piece of equipment on site before an event, we are also sanitizing that equipment after every event. This means that our equipment is always as clean as possible and therefore as safe to use as possible for all of our customers and their attendees.
- Enforcing Minimum Participants
Keeping our equipment safe to use requires more than regular cleaning. It also means enforcing smart social distancing even while people enjoy our equipment at your event. To that end, we are enforcing the minimum number of participants on each piece of equipment. This policy is in keeping with recommendations of the CDC and in keeping with our commitment to your and your guests’ safety.
Of course, we also understand that many events are being cancelled recently, and that sometimes these cancellations are occurring at the last minute.
Here at Big Bounce, we do not want you to feel uncertain about booking events with our equipment. That is why we are working creatively and flexibly with cancellations of current bookings and with new bookings. For the foreseeable future, we are implementing these policies:
- No cancellation fees
If you need to cancel an event, even at the last minute, you can do so with no cancellation fees. We want you to feel comfortable doing what you need to in order to keep your guests healthy and safe.
- No loss of deposits
We are now holding deposits and other monies paid for an event indefinitely. This will allow you to reschedule your event for another time without losing any money you have already put toward an event.
- Allowance of multiple cancellations
We are now allowing multiple cancellations of an event without penalty.
Here at Big Bounce, we want to encourage you not to give up planning events in the face of the global pandemic. We encourage you to keep making your private celebration, 4th of July, Halloween, and Christmas plans like normal. This pandemic will pass eventually, and when it does, we want you to have access to all of our exciting products and services.
That is why we are offering generous cancellation policies. We want you to plan with confidence, knowing that, if you need to, you can change your event date later.
We also encourage you not to cancel any events that are more than 4 weeks out. You can wait with confidence because you will lose no money and face no fees if you need to cancel closer to the event date.
We are also proud to announce that we will be offering virtual events. You can visit our website to stay up to date on these events.
The first event we are offering is a virtual visit with Fritz, the Easter Bunny. He and his assistant will be available for 3-5 minute phone calls during the first two weeks of April. This is a wonderful opportunity to give children an Easter surprise even in the middle of a global pandemic.
As we face this global pandemic together, we here at Big Bounce are committed to helping you thrive in the midst of it. With flexibility, cleanliness, and adherence to CDC guidelines, we can help you continue planning your events with safety and confidence.
